Oyster Bay Harbor has been a port of call for sailors since the early 1600’s who were attracted to the area by its deep water port, abundance of natural resources and captivating beauty. In this regard, little has changed since these European explorers first came to Long Island.
Oyster Bay is the heart of Gold Coast boating. Surrounding the harbor are spectacular wooded moraines which are the foundations of some of the most beautiful mansions ever built. These glacial hills form the sand bluffs and beautifully wooded terrain that make Oyster Bay one of the most stunning harbors on the East Coast.
The Boat Yard and Marina OBMC
OBMC is the only full service boatyard and Marina on Oyster Bay Harbor. OBMC has proudly maintained its tradition of service excellence to its customers for over forty years. We gladly welcome transients to our docks and moorings for an overnight stay, a day trip into historic Oyster Bay Village or for a service call. OBMC boasts the deepest water at the end of its dock with over 22 feet of water at low tide and can handle boats up to 160 feet in length.
OBMC is proud to be a part of the community of Oyster Bay, a timeless village rich in both heritage and tradition. In fact, the history of this legendary village reads like a who’s who of early America. It has been said that a fair amount of the history of a young America happened on the quiet streets and serene shores of Oyster Bay. And when you walk around this town today, it’s not hard to imagine why. If you are a real history buff visit Oyster Bay Historical Society for more information.
Oyster Bay Village is also home to many quaint shops and wonderful restaurants that cater year round to its discerning Gold Coast residents. Visitors are strongly encouraged to take a walk into town and menu shop for a great dining experience.
